Champagne Castle Hotel has established an historic reputation for its unique ‘Big Five’ hike, a mountaineering challenge that has an honours board in the hotel commemorating those hikers who have climbed all five peaks. A certificate is also awarded to those who conquer each peak.
The ‘Big Five’ includes the following:
• Matterhorn (1 995m)
• Gatberg (2 408m)
• Amphlett (2 620m)
• Sterkhorn (2 973m)
• Champagne Castle (3 373m)
